In March of 2020, NERVA Energy teamed up with Mohawk College through their Climate Change Leaders initiative to develop and launch the CLEANER AIR FOR SCHOOLS program.
Backed by award-winning engineers and indoor air quality specialists, the program was designed to be a vital resource for school boards to address the substantial impact that building system inefficiencies can have on indoor air quality, energy consumption and carbon emissions.
The installation of the REME-LED Active Air Purification and Duct Sealing has allowed schools to improve their indoor air quality and reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission in a quick and cost effective manor, avoiding the need to completely replace their HVAC systems, while simultaneously having a positive impact on energy efficiency and GHG emissions.
The program continues to grow exponentially, currently serving over 320 schools equalling more than 25 million sq. ft. across Ontario.
